We utilize synthetic materials in various forms, from fibres to bottles to packaging. While these materials provide the characteristics needed for high-quality, uncompromising cycling wear (and sports apparel in general), they are not a sustainable option because they derive from non-renewable resources.
Creating the highest quality of cycling wear with sustainable materials will be our most daunting challenge as a company.

Today's social and environmental standards are at an all-time high. It is not enough to only account for direct contributions from stores and offices when assessing our total emissions. At Pas Normal Studios, we are working to quantify the impact of our entire value chain – from water consumption in the fabrics we choose to CO2 emissions used to transport our products.
It is no easy task, but we now have a dedicated team working on our impact and responsibility plans.

Most of the apparel industry is built upon the linear ‘take-make-dispose’ model. In contrast, the circular model redefines growth and focuses on the re-circulation of materials. In this way, product circularity promises multiple benefits to the environment, including reduced resource demand, reduced pollution, and reduced waste.
We would love to offer more product circularity initiatives to our customers, and are currently working on a series of initiatives to test this concept. The biggest challenge we face involves building an ecosystem and infrastructure focusing on product circularity. This infrastructure, which is what we are currently building, will allow us to connect ‘use’ and ‘reuse’, and design products to facilitate circularity.
