Meet Ting-Yu, our quality control expert. A quality controller for UNRIVALED INC. Taiwan, Ting-Yu works in our garment manufacturer inspects all details, developing a garment sample to mass production and ensure they are of the highest quality. We asked Ting-Yu some questions about her fashion-related job... 

How did you become a quality checker? 

I am working in the industry more than 25 years, take the role of connection between manufacture and pattern maker; I’ve accumulated a lot of experience in apparel making, it helps me to solve the sewing problems correctly. 

How does it compare to other jobs you have had? 

Generally, there is no difference for my working; however, I enable to join the developer meeting to get the point what customers need. That really save time to check or guess through e-mail. 

How long have they been in the company?

I enjoy the Job, of course. I am able to work flexibly based on a timetable that is convenient for me. I would set a plan that connects with the company and my personal development and it makes me motivated. The passion not only drives me to enjoy my Job, but helps in overcoming obstacles in the workplace as well. Anytime I hit a bump in the road or begin to doubt my abilities, I would remind myself that remember the positive effects of the work I am doing. This persistence will lead to quality work that elevates me and brings me that much closer to my next goal. As you can see, our company, UNRIVALED INC., which started in a small place, we work with brands from all over the world to make the highest quality clothes now. I would keep using that drive and motivation as fuel towards my next checkpoint to success. 

What impact has being a quality checker with UNRIVALED INC. had on you and your family? 

My family is very proud of my job and understands all the challenges I had faced in my career. Currently all my children are having their own family. That means I could stay concentrated my job with dignity and pleasure. I think this is ideal as a individual, a mother but also a professional quality checker, isn’t it?
